The earthquake measured 6.3 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located near Villavicencio, approximately 80 kilometers southeast of the capital. The tremor struck at approximately 10:47 AM local time, shaking the ground for nearly 45 seconds and felt as far as Medellín and Cali.
